The show was not only attended by members of the world of fashion and celebrity, but also fashion college students and local residents who had won a competition organized in partnership with the city. An even larger audience was able to watch the event on giant screens in Times Square which aired the show live, as well as using images from the House’s website, www.givenchy.com . These were further promoted using posters on buses travelling through the Bronx, Harlem, and Queens areas of the city.

It was conceived as an emotional experience focusing on universal themes of love, peace, freedom, humility, and spirituality. Four artists performed spiritual and cultural chants from across the world, and were joined by seven other artists who hosted live performances from the venue.
