The monetary awards are designed to encourage and enable emerging talents to pursue their design plans. Additionally, the winners will each meet regularly with an assigned business mentor based on their specific needs for business expertise and resources.

For the first time in CVFF history, the Selection Committee decided to award three equal winners, who will each receive $300,000 and a year’s mentoring.

The 2015 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners are:

-Aurora James, BROTHER VELLIES
-Jonathan Simkhai, JONATHAN SIMKHAI
-Rio Uribe, GYPSY SPORT

Celebrating the achievements of this year’s winners and honorees were an array of celebrities from entertainment, fashion, and sports. Amanda Seyfried introduced keynote speaker Riccardo Tisci, in conversation with Vogue’s Hamish Bowles.

In Manhattan, celebrity fashionistas and icons past and present, including Demi Moore, Diane Von Furstenberg, Misty Copeland, Zachary Quinto, Jason Wu, Vera Wang,
Anna Wintour, Meghan Markle, Tory Burch, Lake Bell, Zendaya and NFL star athletes Odell Beckham, Jr. and Victor Cruz were in attendance.

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund was established in 2003 to help emerging American design talent find continued success in the business of fashion. It is expected that the awards will be used to further develop each designer’s business in such areas as marketing, public relations, production and sales. In addition to the cash prizes, the award also includes mentorship from an esteemed group of industry professionals whose expertise is tailored to the designers’ needs and future goals.
