Converse’s Culture of Authentic Street Style Supports the Artists During Pride Month

June 2022 – New York City – At the recent Tribeca Festival, Bader Content Studios caught up with Sejal Shah Miller, Converse ‘s chief marketing officer at the premiere of Savitree, which offers the audience a close and personal look at the life of Richie Shazam, a model-artist-activist-photographer-writer.

In celebration of its seventh annual Pride campaign, Converse spotlighted Found Family, the people who meet on the journey to Pride who surround everyone with love, support, and acceptance and ignore the haters – by funding a short film directed by and starring Richie Shazam, who narrates the defining moments of her life, from being born and raised in Queens, New York to a Guyanese family to her mother’s health problems and subsequent death when Shazam was a teen to her fraught relationship with her father to finding escape in the New York subway system.

Second Daughter, Ella Emhoff, model, artist, and fashion designer was on hand to congratulate Richie and greet the guests.
