Dior Puts on a Spectacular Fashion Show at Great Pyramids of Giza

December 2022 – Cairo, Egypt

The Pyramids of Giza witnessed Dior’s fashion show of the men’s collection for fall-winter 2023. This is the first time the French fashion house Dior put on a show in Egypt, as well as the first time that a major international fashion show was held in front of the Pyramids of Giza.

Fashion house showcased its futuristic men’s autumn 2023 collection against majestic backdrop of ancient wonders.

The show was attended by Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri, congratulated President and CEO of the Dior Fashion House Pietro Beccari, and his deputy, for choosing to hold this unique show in Egypt and the Giza Pyramids. Waziri also presented a souvenir to them in the name of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

Lead Dior designer Kim Jones unveiled two collections, the first being the Dior x Denim Tears line at an event at the Grand Egyptian Museum the day before which is adjacent to the pyramids.

Bader Content Studios Arabia was on hand as well as international celebrities which included Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, British actor Robert Pattinson, Scottish actor Thomas Doherty, South Korean rapper and Dior Global Ambassador Oh Se-hun, Spanish actor Aron Piper, Colombian singer Manuel Turizo and American model Amber Valletta and Naomi Campbell.

Stars from the Gulf region included Tunisian actor and filmmaker Dhafer L’Abidine, Egyptian actor Amr Youssef and Egyptian-Canadian Aladdin actor Mena Massoud.

Egypt has taken the opportunity to boost tourism recently by widening its appeal through art and cultural events.
