Lets turn the clock back to April of 2011 - when Mike Leventhal and the Bader video team were invited by Nike Golf to accompany Tiger Woods on his historic tour of Asia - It started following an impressive Masters performance tying for fourth place, Tiger Woods jetted all night from Augusta, GA to Shenzhen, China. First stop, the famed Mission Hills Golf Club where more than 5,000 area youngsters and golf fans came out to walk the last three holes of the course with champion golfer Tiger Woods. Earlier in the day, China's top junior golfers faced off in an age group competition to crown the best young golfers in the country. While they played hard and might have thought they were done for the day; Tiger took them back out to help fine tune their developing skills. Tiger admitted to the large crowd that these 12 and 14 year-olds hit the ball harder and further than he did when he was learning the game. The Tiger Woods - Nike Golf "Make it Matter" Tour of China and Korea aimed to illuminate the sport of golf in Asia including athletic training, practicing, preparing for competition and more. The Nike Golf “Make it Matter” tour showcased Woods demonstrating clinics for youth, providing insights on his training regimen and educating consumers on Nike Golf product innovation.
