Egypt Presents the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade: A Majestic Journey Back into History

April 2021, Cairo, Egypt – Bader Studios Arabia was on hand for the highly anticipated Pharaohs’ Golden Parade which started at Cairo’s Tahrir Square and then made its way to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization section. There were 22 royal mummies and 17 royal coffins, dating back to the 17th through the 20th Dynasties of which 18 of the mummies had kings, while 4 belonged to queens. The mummies moved to the museum included King Ramses II; King Seqenenre Tao; King Thutmose III; King Seti I; Queen Hatshepsut; and Queen Meritamen, the wife of King Amenhotep I; and Queen Ahmose Nefertari, the wife of King Ahmose I. The royal mummies made their way to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in a very organized and dramatic parade leading up to the inauguration of the museum and the opening of three new halls that include the Central Exhibition Hall and the Mummies Hall. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is one of the most important projects carried out by Egypt in coordination with UNESCO and is one of the largest museums of civilization in the world.
