2017 NEW YORK DANCE FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

Now retired from dance competition, among Katesvman and Manusova’s career highlights together include winning the UK Open Amateur Rising Star Latin Championships and British Open Under 21 Latin Champions in 1998; and an eleven year undefeated run as USA National Amateur Latin Champions, among many other titles. The couple officially retired in 2010

The New York Festival’s numerous categories included competitions ranging from waltz and tango to the foxtrot and samba.

Held at the ornate, 1920s style, 5.696 square-foot Grand Ballroom at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, the four day dance festival receives support from the Connor Bishop Zion Foundation which affords over $4000 in scholarships to Pre-Teen II to Youth category dancers in the Ballroom and Latin events.

The NYDF also partners with the World Pro-Am Dancesport Series and the Fordney Foundation.

Previous to the competition, NYDF hosted a training camp with such renowned dancers and trainers including Slavik Kryklyvyy, Bryan Watson, Greg Smith, Markus Homm, and Rufus Dustin, among others.
