May 2017 – Shanghai, PRC – Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom got together once again for the official world premiere of their anticipated film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales!
The 53-year-old actor and Orlando, 40, were joined by their co-stars Geoffrey Rush, Javier Bardem, and Brenton Thwaites, as well as directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer at the gala event held in Shanghai, China, at Shanghai Disney Resort, marking the first time a Hollywood movie premiered in Mainland China.
Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost sailors led by his old nemesis, the evil Capt. Salazar, played by Javier Bardem, escape from the Devil’s Triangle.
Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it, he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young man in the British navy.
